SW TECHNOTE - Creating a custom list of Allowed Domains in CFS

On adding the exceptions to the filtering policies, you can do this either globally, or if you are using different policies for different users, by policy:

GLOBALLY:

- Security Services
- Content Filtering
- Content Filter Type: “Content Filter Service” – CLICK Configure
- Go to Policy Tab
- Edit the Default Policy
- Click Settings, then Select “Global” as the Source of Allowed Domains
- Click OK
- On the previous window (SonicWALL Filter Properties) click Custom List
- Enter the allowed domains required (excluding the preceeding http:// and / or www.) and click OK when complete.

PER POLICY

- Security Services
- Content Filtering
- Content Filter Type: “Content Filter Service” – CLICK Configure
- Go to Policy Tab
- Edit the Default Policy
- Click Settings, then Select “Per Policy” as the Source of Allowed Domains
- Click Custom List
- Enter the allowed domains required (excluding the preceeding http:// and / or www.) and click OK, then OK again when complete.
