For organisations that need to strengthen user logon security to local desktops and remote networks, Imprivata OneSign and DIGIPASS by VASCO work together to replace network passwords.
The combined solution secures access for users on and offline or through VPN, is easy to use and cost-effective.
Imprivata OneSign Authentication Management (OneSign AM) replaces Windows and remote access VPN passwords with a broad range of strong authentication options, including integrated management for VASCO DIGIPASS one-time-password authenticators, finger biometrics, smart cards and building access cards. OneSign AM provides greater security through flexible user authentication management, whether accessed through the network locally, via remote VPN or while working offline. Imprivata OneSign is shipped as a hardware appliance pair - there is nothing else to buy, install or maintain. The power of OneSign is that it’s ALL in the box. You can seamlessly enable additional capabilities as your needs evolve - all with a simple license key.
Imprivata’s Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO) feature provides users with access to multiple environments such as web applications, portals, VPNs, and others, with a single password. VASCO’s native integration in the Imprivata SSO appliance allows replacing insecure static passwords with dynamic one-time passwords generated by VASCO DIGIPASS authenticators to enhance the overall security of the SSO application.
The regular way of working with the Imprivata appliance is LAN authentication on a client computer. With the built-in VACMAN Controller, the Imprivata OneSign appliance can support DIGIPASS strong authentication and handle authentication requests for local network logons. It also has the possibility to synchronize its user database with the Active Directory on the customer’s network.
The Imprivata OneSign appliance can act as a RADIUS client and server at the same time. Clients can request a RADIUS authentication to the Imprivata appliance or validate requests coming from a VPN server. On the other hand, the Imprivata appliance can also act as a RADIUS proxy and transfer RADIUS requests to another RADIUS server. VASCO’s native integration allows for an easy add-on of strong authentication to replace the insecure static passwords utilized by remote users.
