10 Million Encrypted Attacks

2021 was a turbulent year for threat trends and encrypted attacks were no exception! SonicWall Threat Labs recorded 10.1 million encrypted attacks over the 12 month period, with attacks in Europe increasing by 142%.

Traditional security controls and legacy appliances lack the capabilty and processing power to detect, inspect and mitigate encrypted attacks sent via HTTPS traffic.   Making this a highly successful and profitable avenue for hackers to deploy and execute malware.
