SonicWall's Capture Zero-Day Threat Protection service is now available for the TZ300/400 Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) appliances.

SonicWall Capture extends firewall threat protection to detect and prevent zero-day attacks.

The firewall inspects traffic and detects and blocks known malware and intrusions. To prevent potentially malicious files from entering the network, suspicious files are sent to the SonicWall Capture cloud service for analysis and are held at the gateway until a verdict is determined.

The multi-engine sandbox platform includes, virtualised sandboxing, full system emulation and hypervisor-level analysis technologies.

STOP PRESS: On Tuesday 1st November SonicWall proudly launched as a stand-alone company. You may recall Francisco Partners and Elliot Management entered into an agreement in June with Dell to acquire SonicWall. The transaction has now been completed and SonicWall has now been rebranded.
